Reservations

If you'd like to make a reservation, you can either email us at stay@alaskasharvest.com, or call us at (907) 745-4263, and have the following information ready:

  • Name
  • Phone Number
  • Arrival and Departure Dates and Times
  • Number of People
  • Number of Rooms
  • Credit Card Number, security code, zip code and Expiration Date

Occupancy

All rates are single/double occupancy per night
$20.00 per extra person per room (one child under age 10 is free)
Rates do not include the Mat-Su borough required 5% bedtax

Rates & Policies / All basic rates discounted 5% for cash payment (no personal checks). Our local area bedtax is 5%

  • The Log Cabin - $298.00/night plus 5% bedtax, for 4 guests. $20.00 for each additional person. Two night minimum stay.

Payment

MasterCard and Visa, Discover, cash, local checks and Traveler's checks accepted. No charges until you arrive. Credit card number and expiration date required to hold room reservation.  5% discount is given for cash payment (no personal checks). This discount is not inconjunction with any other discounts given.

Cancellation Policy

No charges if cancelled prior to 14 days from your first reserved night of stay. Cancellation fee charged to your credit card in the amount of the first night’s stay for each room reserved.

Reservation implies agreement with cancellation policy.

Smoking/Drinking

Alaska's Harvest is a no-smoking B&B. There are buckets provided outside in several locations for you. Thank you for being courteous and complying with our preferences on this. You may enjoy drinks in the privacy of your room, private balcony or our large guest deck. (Basically, no open parites- learned the hard way)

NOTICE FOR ALL EVENTS

All weddings and events must pay a fully refundable $500 cleaning deposit prior to the event/wedding.  We do not get trash pick-up service here at the B&B so by booking an event, you agree to haul out all of your own garbage, with you, when you leave. Have a pick-up truck bed handy to toss black trash bags in or whatever works for you. You must bring your own trash bags as well.

Visitors by permission only

If you wish to have a guest for a visit while you are staying with me, this is usually just fine but will need to be communicated to me prior to their visit.

Location

Vendors looking for lodging at the Alaska State Fair!  Our location is very convenient to the Alaska State Fair!  Because we are only 2.5 miles from the Alaska State Fair grounds, we invite Alaska State Fair Vendors to let us be their host.  I also run a booth at the Alaska State Fair (The Dirt Sheep-also my gift shop here at the B&B), so while am not able to be the hostess for Alaska State Vendors I would be during any other event due to my many long hours  working at the fair, we are the perfect place for a vendor to plan to stay.  You will start with a clean room, great location and your kitchenette stocked to get you started.  We have return Alaska State Fair Vendors that have stayed here for 10 years straight and it has always been a great experience, mutually understanding the busy time and need for clean, quiet rest once you get done with your day! Weddings

Welcome to our wedding information section! We love to host weddings and share our breathtaking view of Pioneer Peak!

If you have scrolled through the pictures in our Photo Album, you should have a pretty good idea of the layout most brides use for their weddings here and it seems to work beautifully. We have typically had between 200-300 in attendance. See the chairs in the back yard to get a good feel for the lay-out which includes the amazing Pioneer Peak Mtn view.

Packages:  All weddings and events must pay a fully refundable $500 cleaning deposit prior to the event/wedding.

When you rent Alaska’s Harvest B&B and grounds for a wedding there are a few different ways to do it.

Wedding Day Only - $1400

You can rent for 8 hours only (from set-up to cleaned up) for $1400. That, in all honesty, only works for smaller weddings and very mid-day times for wedding and reception so that everything can be completely cleaned up by 6pm for other B&B guests to be able to arrive. That would be 10a.m.-6pm.

One Night and Day - $2000

Popular package: Rent the entire house for the night before the wedding, and the entire house and grounds for the day of the wedding until 6pm. This gives you the rehearsal time, decorating time, wedding and reception on location. Everything needs to be cleaned up by 6pm for other B&B guests to arrive.

Two Nights - $3000

The most common package is this: Rent the entire house for the night before the wedding, all day and night of the wedding, checking out by 10:00a.m. the next morning (2 nights and one full day). This gives you the entire house from 2pm the day before the wedding, so that you can begin decorating, have rehearsal that evening and anyone who needs to stay in a room for that night has lodging. Then you have the entire next day to have the wedding, reception for as long as you like and plenty of time to clean everything, having all rooms still available for any out of town or local guests who may want/need it. Check-out by 10:00 a.m. the following morning.

Deposit Policy:

1/3rd of package price due when reservation is made.
Remaining 2/3rds of package price is due no later than 45 days prior to event date.
Fully refundable $500 cleaning deposit due no later than 45 days prior to event date

 

Wedding/ Event Cancellation Policy:

90 Day notice before event - Full refund of the amount paid.
89 Days and less, prior to event – No refund
 

Alcohol Policy

We are a non-alcohol home. We do not allow an open bar, but will allow wine or champagne toasts for the event. We require a fully refundable $500 cleaning/damage deposit provided in cash or personal 45 days prior to the event.

We do not provide any chairs, tables or wedding furniture. We do have a log arch (pictured in this wedding album) or a slim white metal arch you can drape with your decor, for use at no charge. Most of the brides rent all their other needed items from Valley Rental Center, a.k. a. Special Events Party Rental. Regardless of where you choose to have your special day, you are wise to be getting your venue reserved early. Some dates are booked a year in advance.
